The Logo as Designed for Parkland Lutheran

Logo Option One...       Logo Option Two...

The logo that has been chosen for Parkland Evangelical Lutheran Church and School combines several symbols representing our identity, purpose and even location.

At the center of all that we do and say is Jesus Christ and Him crucified (1Cor. 1:18ff.), which is the central message of the Bible, depicted by the open book. This reflects our traditional and confessional Lutheran position and practice.

The oak trees surrounding these spiritual symbols places us in the Parkland community, which is part of the unique Northwest range of Garry Oak trees, also known as Oregon White Oak.

The park-like surroundings and centrality of the Gospel finds a connection in the words of our Lord Jesus: "Come unto Me … and find rest for your souls." (Mt. 11:28 & 29)
