LYS is short for Lutheran Youth Society, and is Parkland's group for eighth grade through high-school aged teens. The group has their own Bible Study on Sunday Mornings. They also get together monthly for social activities. They participate in the annual synod-wide youth gathering which meets in different parts of the country every year. The pictures on this page represent a snapshot of the Youth Group activities. In addition to the annual trip they have meetings to organize bowling, basketball, volleyball and various events such as a car wash which helps them raise money for their yearly youth trip. |
